We strive to provide a loving home to the poor and orphaned to give:

... HOPE to the oppressed
... EDUCATION to the disadvantaged
... CHOICES for the future
... SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION above all

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others…” Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

To provide children with a strong spiritual foundation where they will glow as a beacon of Truth in Christ, and share the bright hope they've received with others.

Jesus is the Son of God
the Lighthouse believes that God created us to have a personal relationship with Him, but that we are separated from God because of sin. As prophesied throughout the Old Testament in the Bible, God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus was born from a virgin and lived a perfectly sinless life, performing many miracles and demonstrating His love for us when He sacrificed His life on the cross as an atonement for our sins. After Jesus died on the cross He was buried. On the third day, He came back to life and appeared to over 500 people over a period of 40 days before ascending to Heaven. Jesus Christ is the sole intercessor between God and man and we believe that He will come again to earth in power and glory.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Vision

Believe, Repent, and be Baptized
Jesus proclaimed in John 14:6 that no one comes to the Father except through Him (Jesus). We believe that the only way to salvation is to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. This acceptance is symbolized through the practice of water baptism and receiving communion on a regular basis. The salvation of man is the gift of God's free grace alone and is not a result of human works, goodness, or dutiful adherence to ceremonies or religious acts of worship.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Word of God
the Lighthouse believes the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God, comprised of the Old and New Testament and entirely accurate from beginning to end. We believe that there is one eternal God that exists in the Trinity, or three persons, as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each are uniquely separate, possessing equally divine attributes and that we, as humans, can have a personal relationship with each embodiment of the Trinity.
"How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver." Proverbs 16:16
